A Polish man wanted in connection with more than 50 alleged fraud and property-related offences has been arrested in Tenerife after being traced by the National Police. The suspect, who had reportedly been living in Icod de los Vinos for several years, is now in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
The arrest was carried out at the National Police station in Puerto de la Cruz after officers acted on a European Arrest Warrant issued by the Polish authorities.
Investigators established that the man had been living in the north of Tenerife for a number of years. According to Polish judicial authorities, he is wanted in relation to more than 50 alleged offences involving fraud and crimes against property.
Police also confirmed that a court in Güímar had previously imposed precautionary measures preventing him from leaving Spain and had ordered the seizure of his passport.
Following his arrest, the man was brought before the relevant judicial authority, which ordered that he be remanded in custody.
