The most expensive home currently advertised for sale in the Canary Islands is a luxury mansion in La Caleta, Adeje, with an asking price of €10 million.
The six-bedroom property has 11 bathrooms and 963 square metres of built space. It stands on a 7,500-square-metre plot in one of the most exclusive areas of southern Tenerife, close to Costa Adeje Golf.
The same mansion was previously advertised for €13.75 million, meaning its asking price has been reduced by €3.75 million.
Inside, the house has a marble fireplace, an equipped kitchen, a games room and laundry facilities. Three ground-floor bedrooms have private bathrooms and dressing rooms.
The main bedroom occupies the upper floor and has a sea-view terrace, two dressing rooms, two bathrooms and a private office. A second terrace includes a hot tub.
Outside, the estate features a 25-metre heated swimming pool decorated with mosaics, extensive palm gardens and a fruit orchard. It also has an automatic irrigation system, large water storage tanks, and solar energy equipment.
A 120-square-metre outdoor kitchen includes a barbecue area and refrigerated storage facilities. The estate also has a garage, security cameras and an alarm system.
The property was already identified as the most expensive home for sale in the Canaries when it carried its previous price. It remains at the top of current listings despite the substantial reduction.
The sale also reflects the importance of international buyers in Tenerife’s luxury property market. Estate agency Engel & Völkers reported that approximately 90% of property transactions completed in southern Tenerife during the previous year involved overseas buyers, mainly Europeans, with many purchases made without a mortgage.
Despite its record price in the Canaries, the mansion remains far below the prices of the most expensive homes for sale elsewhere in Spain.
The country’s highest-priced property is a 13-bedroom mansion on Marbella’s Golden Mile, listed for €70 million. Set on a 14,000-square-metre plot, it includes a gym, sauna, several swimming pools, a private bowling alley, bar and cinema.
