After years of anticipation, La Gran Manzana, Tenerife's newest shopping centre, is set to officially open its doors today, Thursday 23rd July, in Las Chafiras, San Miguel de Abona.
The new retail and leisure complex, covering almost 18,000 square metres, is expected to become one of the south of Tenerife's main shopping destinations, offering a mix of fashion, dining, leisure and essential services.

Gym and entertainment
One of the centre's biggest attractions will be Fitness Park, one of Spain's fastest-growing gym chains.
Plans also include a modern cinema complex featuring the latest technology, along with family entertainment areas, and a bowling alley, although some leisure facilities are expected to open in phases.
A strategic location
La Gran Manzana is located on the northern side of the Las Chafiras Industrial Estate, just off the TF-1 motorway, giving it easy access from the Tenerife South Airport, the island's main tourist resorts and the Santa Cruz metropolitan area.
The development also includes a 1,200m² Hipertrebol supermarket, offering shoppers a convenient food and grocery option.
Opening after delays
The project has experienced several delays since its original planned opening date, but the centre is now ready to welcome its first visitors on Thursday 23rd July.
Once fully occupied, La Gran Manzana will join established shopping destinations such as Siam Mall, Plaza del Duque, X-Sur, CC Pasarela, La Villa, Meridiano and Nivaria Centre, further strengthening the retail offering in Tenerife.
Developers have confirmed that additional brands are expected to move into the remaining units over the coming months, with La Gran Manzana set to become one of the Canary Islands' largest and most significant retail developments in recent years.
