Overcast weather continues in the Canary Islands
Cloudy skies will continue across the Canary Islands today, Tuesday, with light and occasional rain expected in parts of the archipelago, according to the latest forecasts from the national weather agency AEMET.
As April draws to a close, unsettled conditions are set to linger, bringing a mix of cloud cover, patchy drizzle, and gentle to moderate northerly winds. Temperatures will remain largely steady, though some areas may see a slight dip.
Across the islands, winds will generally come from the north, occasionally shifting north-westerly in some areas.
At sea, conditions will be moderate, with northerly or north-westerly winds ranging from force 3 to 5, occasionally strengthening to 6. Expect slight to moderate seas, with occasional rough patches and a north or north-westerly swell of 1 to 2 metres.

Tenerife
Cloud in the north with a slight chance of light rain, mainly overnight. Elsewhere, skies will become increasingly cloudy through the afternoon, especially on western and southern slopes, with a risk of light showers inland. Higher altitudes will remain clear. Temperatures will edge up slightly in the north but dip elsewhere. Light to moderate northerly winds, variable in the mountains, with coastal breezes in the south.
General Temperatures: Low of 16°C and high of 23°C.
Gran Canaria
Cloudier conditions in the north, where light rain is possible, especially overnight. Elsewhere, intervals of cloud will thicken during the afternoon, particularly inland and in the south, where light showers cannot be ruled out. Slightly cooler in the south, but a touch warmer in higher areas. Moderate northerly winds, with coastal breezes in the south.
General Temperatures: Low of 18°C and high of 21°C.
Lanzarote
Generally cloudy with a low chance of light, occasional rain, most likely inland during the afternoon. Temperatures will see little change, with light to moderate northerly or north-westerly winds.

Fuerteventura
Cloudy skies with a small chance of light showers, again more likely inland later in the day. Daytime temperatures may dip slightly, while night-time temperatures remain stable. Winds will be light to moderate from the north or north-west.
