The Canary Islands can expect another warm and largely settled day today, Wednesday, with temperatures remaining similar to recent days and a mix of cloud and sunshine forecast across the archipelago.
According to Spain’s State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), winds will ease across much of the region, although some stronger gusts are still possible in higher areas of Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
At sea, northerly and north-easterly winds of Force 3 to 4 are expected, occasionally reaching Force 5 in some areas. Conditions will include slight to moderate seas, with a northerly swell of around one metre.
Island-by-island forecast for Wednesday 24th June 2026:
Lanzarote
Cloudy skies are expected during the early morning before conditions become mostly sunny from midday onwards. Some cloud is likely to return during the evening.
Temperatures will remain steady, ranging between a low of 20°C and a high of 27°C.
Fuerteventura
Cloudy intervals are forecast early in the day before clearer skies develop from midday. Maximum temperatures may dip slightly, while overnight temperatures could rise a little.
General temperature range: Low of 20°C and high of 26°C.
Gran Canaria
Northern areas will begin the day cloudy, with scattered cloud elsewhere across the island. Conditions should gradually improve from midday, becoming mostly sunny or clear.
There is a slight chance of light rain in northern parts of the island during the morning. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged, although some areas may experience a slight decrease. North-easterly winds will be light to moderate, with occasional stronger gusts on western and south-eastern slopes. Stronger westerly winds are also expected in the higher elevations.
General temperature range: Low of 21°C and high of 26°C.
Tenerife
Cloudy conditions are expected during the morning, particularly in northern areas, where there is a chance of light rain. The higher peaks should remain largely clear. As the day progresses, skies will become brighter, with mostly sunny conditions developing from midday and only occasional cloud inland.
Temperatures will remain similar to recent days, with perhaps a slight drop in some locations. Light northerly to north-easterly winds are expected at lower levels, while stronger westerly winds may affect the central peaks.
General temperature range: Low of 19°C and high of 28°C.
