Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a young man at a commercial centre in Puerto Rico, in the municipality of Mogán, in the south of Gran Canaria.
The man died on Sunday, with the Guardia Civil initially treating the incident as an accidental fall while carrying out their first enquiries.
However, the investigation later took a different direction, leading to the arrest of two suspects.
According to reports, one of the arrests was carried out in the Las Americas area of south Tenerife, while the second suspect was detained in Gran Canaria.
The Guardia Civil has not yet released further details about the circumstances surrounding the man's death or the offences the two individuals are suspected of committing.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are continuing to gather evidence to establish exactly what happened and are urging anyone who may have any information surrounding the incident to contact them in confidence.
