An eight-year-old boy was taken to hospital after last night (Saturday) being hit by a car in Adeje, according to reports from the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES).
The accident happened at around 8:15pm on Avenida Barranco de Las Torres in the south of Tenerife. Emergency services reported that the child suffered multiple moderate injuries following the collision.

A medicalised SUC ambulance was dispatched to the scene, where paramedics treated the boy before transferring him to Hospital del Sur for further medical care.
SUC personnel also provided assistance at the scene to the driver involved in the incident.
Emergency authorities have not reported any additional injuries linked to the accident, and no further details about the circumstances of the collision have yet been released.
