18-year-old in critical condition after falling from second-floor apartment in Lanzarote
An 18-year-old man is in critical condition after falling from the second floor of a building in Arrecife, Lanzarote. Emergency services rushed to the complex, and he was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The incident happened at around 6.15pm yesterday (Wednesday) in the Los Alonso neighbourhood, after the Canary Islands emergency coordination centre (CECOES 1-1-2) received an alert.
The Local Police and the National Police officers attended alongside two ambulances from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, including one advanced life support unit.
Paramedics treated the young man for multiple serious injuries before stabilising him and transferring him to the Hospital Doctor José Molina Orosa in Arrecife.
Police secured the area, assisted emergency teams and have launched an investigation into how the fall happened. Authorities have not yet confirmed the circumstances, and enquiries remain ongoing.
