A spectacular villa in the Canary Islands, complete with a private swimming pool, jacuzzi, gym and panoramic sea views, has become Spain’s most-viewed luxury property of summer 2026. The property, located in San Agustín-Bahía Feliz in the south of Gran Canaria, is on the market for €3.2 million.
Despite the price tag, it has attracted more attention on Idealista than luxury homes in some of Spain’s traditionally most exclusive property markets, including Mallorca, Madrid, Alicante and Málaga.
The ranking covers properties listed for more than €1 million which have generated the most interest among users of the popular Spanish property portal during the summer.
635 square metres of luxury overlooking the ocean
The Gran Canaria villa offers an impressive 635 square metres of living space, with its design making the most of its location and views across the Atlantic Ocean.
Huge windows provide panoramic sea views and allow natural light to flood into the property.
The villa has five bedrooms, as well as several areas dedicated to relaxation and entertainment.
Outside, there is a private swimming pool, jacuzzi and sun terrace, while the basement includes its own gym.
The combination of its location, ocean views and high-end facilities has helped make it the most-viewed property priced above €1 million on Idealista this summer.
And although €3.2 million puts it well beyond the budget of most house hunters, that clearly hasn't stopped thousands of people from taking a virtual look inside.
Gran Canaria beats Mallorca and Madrid
Perhaps the biggest surprise is that Spain's most-viewed luxury property isn't in Madrid, Marbella or Mallorca, but in the south of Gran Canaria.
Taking second place is a very different property in the historic centre of Palma de Mallorca.
The 178-square-metre apartment occupies part of what was once a side wing of the historic Santa Fe church and features spectacular vaulted ceilings approaching six metres high in the living room.
Completely renovated in 2025, it has two en-suite bedrooms and a private 27-square-metre terrace. It is on the market for €1.25 million.

Luxury penthouses attract attention in Madrid
Madrid has several properties among Spain's most-viewed luxury homes.
In third place is a penthouse in the Imperial neighbourhood, close to the Royal Palace. Built in 2020, the property covers 148 square metres and includes a 60-square-metre terrace.
It features home automation technology, access to a communal swimming pool and a parking space, with an asking price of €1.175 million.
Fourth place also goes to Madrid, this time to a 171-square-metre duplex penthouse in Aravaca.
The property includes a roof terrace with views across the capital, while the residential complex has a gym, swimming pool, padel and squash courts and two parking spaces. It is priced at €1.125 million.
Marbella remains a luxury property hotspot
Málaga province also has three properties in Idealista's top ten.
Two are in Marbella, with asking prices of €3.45 million and €1.25 million, while another property in Málaga city is listed for €1.99 million.
However, it is the Canary Islands that take the number one spot this summer.
