Police recorded 135 drug-related offences and made 12 arrests during a major security operation at the annual festivities in Arrecife, Lanzarote.
More than 30,000 people attended concerts and other events during the celebrations, which ran from 14th to 25th August. Extra police officers were scheduled to maintain security throughout the 12-day programme.
More than 560 people were identified during preventative checks, with 135 reports issued for possessing or consuming illegal drugs. A further 22 were issued for possession of weapons and four for disrespectful behaviour towards officers.
Police also intervened in several fights and disturbances, saying officers were able to restore order before the incidents became more serious.
A total of 12 people were arrested during the operation. Five arrests were linked to suspected drug dealing, while others involved alleged domestic abuse, assaulting a police officer, resisting or disobeying officers, and assault.
Police also arrested a person who was already wanted by the courts and carried out six incidents of assistance to members of the public.
At times, more than 50 police officers were deployed simultaneously, particularly during the largest concerts. Officers from several specialist units took part in the operation, including additional personnel brought in from Gran Canaria.
Police said the events were able to go ahead safely despite the large crowds and praised the overall behaviour of those attending.
