Anyone looking for something different to do in Lanzarote today can catch five free concerts as Arrecife en Vivo takes its music to the streets of the island's capital.
Rather than putting everything on one stage, the festival moves around Arrecife during the evening… and all of tonight's concerts are free.
The audience follows the music from La Plazuela to the Charco de San Ginés, Marina Lanzarote and finally the cruise port, creating a walking festival through the city.
Live music starts at 6pm
Barcelona band Gyoza gets the evening underway at 6.00pm in La Plazuela, bringing its alternative rock sound to the Canary Islands for the first time.
At 7.30pm, the audience moves to the Charco de San Ginés for Dutch punk band Maria Iskariot.
The next stop is Marina Lanzarote at 9.00pm, where Def Con Dos will mark the 30th anniversary of its Alzheimer album.
Evaristo back in Lanzarote after 28 years
One of the biggest attractions comes at 10.30pm, when veteran punk singer Evaristo Páramos performs at the Muelle de Cruceros. It will be his first Lanzarote appearance for 28 years.
His set will include material associated with La Polla Records and Gatillazo as part of his current Gira sobre sí mismo tour.
Tenerife electropunk duo Dyatlov will then bring the night's live programme to a close.
Follow the music through Arrecife
Moving between the venues is part of the event itself.
Lanzarote batucada Villa Pipol will accompany festival-goers between stages along an approximately two-kilometre walking route through Arrecife's historic centre and port area.
The format gives visitors the chance to see several different parts of the city during the evening rather than spending the entire festival inside one venue.
Arrecife en Vivo is already well under way this year, with today's programme forming part of a six-date festival running through to 10 October.
