A 56-year-old man was seriously injured after being hit by a bus in the south of Gran Canaria late last night (Sunday).
The collision happened on Avenida de Gran Canaria in Maspalomas just before 11.30pm. The Canary Islands emergency coordination centre received a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a public transport vehicle and dispatched emergency teams to the roadside.
Paramedics found the man with a serious injury to one of his legs. He was immobilised and stabilised before being taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
The circumstances surrounding the collision have not been confirmed.
